What is digital signage?
Digital signage systems are a network of "digital signs" and related technologies, which can be managed remotely. Content is usually kept centrally and distributed by a system in an automated or manual way.
Digital signs are display devices that are used to present full motion video, text, graphics, animations and interactive content. They usually include different types of monitors (LCD, CRT and TFT) or electronic billboards.
Related technologies include kiosk (touch-screen) solutions, vending machines with visual displays, in-store TV, LED display and ambient media devices like directional speakers, transparent screens, traditional and 3D hologram projectors.
